Late Friday night (3/26/2021), Midwestern Pet Foods -- makers of Earthborn Holistic, Pro Pac, Venture, Unrefined, and Wholesomes -- issued a voluntary recall notice for certain products manufactured at their facility in Monmouth, Illinois. The recall was the result of a routine sampling program by the company which revealed that the finished products may contain Salmonella bacteria. No human or pet illnesses have been reported to date and this is a proactive recall made out of caution.
Products made in the Monmouth facility are distributed in our area, and we have found and removed affected bags from our shelves. Monmouth-produced bags contain an identifier located in the date code as an “M”, for example: EXP AUG/02/22/M1/L#. Please follow the link below to see the complete list of specifically recalled products if you have recently made a purchase of Earthborn, Pro Pac, Venture, Unrefined, or Wholesomes. If you have purchased an affected bag from us, please return it for a full refund.

No other Midwestern Pet Food products are affected by the recall at this time, but we will let you know if that changes.
