Animal advocate, cat rescuer, and nationally recognized TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) educator Sterling "TrapKing" Davis will visit Albuquerque on Saturday, June 13, 2026, for two special events celebrating feline welfare, community education, and cat rescue efforts.
The day begins with a special screening of the documentary 25 Cats from Qatar, hosted by Davis along with Weruva and Boofy's Best for Pets. Following the film, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session and discussion with Davis and the film's director Mye Hoang.
From the filmmakers behind Cat Daddies, 25 Cats from Qatar tells the remarkable story of an international rescue mission addressing Qatar's growing street cat crisis. The documentary follows a network of underground animal rescuers in Doha and a Milwaukee flight attendant and cat café owner as they work to transport 25 cats to safety and find them homes abroad, while exploring long-term solutions to a widespread animal welfare challenge.
Later that day, Davis will appear at Boofy's Best for Pets (Cutler Avenue location) for a free public meet-and-greet from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Community members are invited to meet Davis, learn more about humane cat rescue and community cat care, and hear firsthand from one of the nation's most passionate advocates for feline welfare. While the meet-and-greet is free to attend, guests are encouraged to bring cash donations or cat and kitten food to benefit Street Cat HUB, a local TNR organization dedicated to improving the lives of community cats throughout the Albuquerque area.
