Boofy's is teaming up with Tía-Mom's Cocina for an extended MLK Day of Service project to provide meals and supplies for the unhoused in our community. We'll be collecting monetary and item donations at both Boofy's locations January 15-21, 2024. Then, on February 10th, burritos and sandwiches will be prepared and distributed to those in need, along with clothing and other items to make unhoused life a little easier.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
MONETARY DONATIONS: Funds to purchase the fixins for burritos and sandwiches can be donated at the register at either Boofy's location. We will be getting pinto beans, tofu, tortillas, bread, peanut butter, jam, bottled water, aluminum foil, and ziploc baggies with the donated funds.
ITEM DONATIONS: Any items that can help houseless members of our community stay safe, clean, warm, and clothed are appreciated. We have donation boxes set up at both Boofy's locations to collect clothing and supplies for distribution on Feburary 10th.

VOLUNTEER TIME: Food prep volunteers are needed on Saturday, February 10th, to help the Tía-Mom's Cocina team prepare burritos and sandwiches for distribution to the houseless that day. Burritos will be served as an immediate warm meal, and a packaged sandwich will be given for a later snack. (Get in touch if you are interested in volunteering!)
